Our vacuum suction cups are used with success to handle semifinished products and end-items in the marble industry, even with not perfectly smooth surfaces (sanded, flamed or bushhammered). They are easy and safe to use also with other materials, such as metal, glass, plastic, wood, etc. The lifting equipments work by means of depression. The VAM models are powered by 6 bar compressed air, the VEM models by an electric vacuum pump.

They are made up by a structure bearing one or more suction plates whose position is adjustable horizontally. They allow to move the pieces from vertical to horizontal, by hand or by means of servo controls. On request it is possible to have a 180º rotation.

The standard capacities vary from 125 to 2000 kg. The systems we construct and use on our suction cups largely fulfill the safety rules imposed by the CEMachines Directive in all EU countries. These safety devices are:

• Slider valve for the connection and disconnection of the plates with safety lock in the ‘connect” position in order to avoid accidental operation completely.

• Vacuummeter with coloured dial for immediate visual observation of the vacuum degree during operation.

• Acoustic-luminous alarm, pointing out that the vacuum degree is insufficient.

• Safety valve and vacuum reservoir tank, preventing problems caused by a sudden vacuum lack.

• Anodized vacuum reservoir tank, treated with an antioxidant, allowing and optimising a quick and safe connection of the pieces.

• Stainless steel or alluminium plates for longer duration and reliability in time.

Any specific need for lifting or handling equipment shall be carefully analised in order to find a rational and convenient solution with the highest degree of safety.
